Hytale, a square man’s sandbox adventure game, was originally developed by Riot Games, a group under the umbrella of the Heroes Alliance, until the end of June this year, when the “hard decision” triggered the strangulation of the players’ community and even inspired the overseas industry to explore how to save the game, including ConcernedApe, the developer of Starbow Grapes.
Finally, the fate of Hytale was decided by the co-founders Simon and Philippe to finance the purchase of the game IP from Riot Gomes, meaning that they would be granted the right to develop and distribute independently.
In the announcement, it was officially stated that the two original engines would be discarded from the platform engine instead of the one that already had a fun version of Legacy Engineering (the original version of the preview).
Officially, Simon and Philippe, in the absence of a sponsor or an investment, have prepared funds for development over the next 10 years, although, given the small size of the development team, it will take some time to prepare for functions like mini-playing.
However, since the most important of the sandbox games like Hytale is also the content created by the players’ community, the support component for the Mod module will be the first task of their development, and the future official publication of the guidance and more detailed information they have created.
