Temu, the global electrician platform, achieved significant user growth in the second quarter of 2025. Its global monthly active users (MAU) reached 415.5 million, a significant 68 per cent increase from the same period last year and a 3 per cent increase from the previous quarter. At the same time, the number of active daily users of the Platform (DAU) increased to 70.5 million, 65 per cent over the same period and 6 per cent over the ring.

According to Bloomberg, Temu users in the United States exceeded Shein in May 2023, with over 70 million users using the application. The company has begun to promote the application in the United Kingdom, Germany and France, and there has been a similar increase in downloads since the roll-out began. Regional market performance is in sharp contrast. The European Union (EU) showed strong growth, with the MAU rising by 74 per cent from the same year, or 34 per cent of Temu ‘ s global user base. Latin America experienced more rapid growth, with MAU growing by 122 per cent the same year, representing 26 per cent of global users. This contrasted sharply with the United States market: its MAU declined by 28 per cent, to 11 per cent of global users; and DAU also performed weakly, to 35 per cent.

In terms of downloads, the second quarter saw a global monthly download of 113 million, a 7 per cent decrease over the same period and a 14 per cent decrease in the ring. Of these, the United States experienced a major setback, with a 77 per cent decline in downloads compared to the same year, while Latin America rose in reverse, with a 17 per cent increase in downloads. It is a matter of concern that, despite a slowdown in quarterly downloads, Temu ‘ s cumulative downloads succeeded in breaking important milestones to reach 1 billion in the second quarter. This figure represents a 93 per cent jump from the same period last year and a 12 per cent increase in the ring. The Latin American market was the main driver of the cumulative download growth of the round, which was 148 per cent over the same period.

Temu, which belongs to a large number of electric giants, went online in the United States in 2022 and in some European countries in 2023, providing almost all the commodities that users can think of at very low prices. Like Wish and other discount shops, Temu offers a large amount of discount codes and gifts to attract user consumption. Temu was the most downloaded application in the United States in the last months of 2022 and maintained this position almost daily in 2023. At first, Temu occupied the first ASO project on Apple App Store, considered to be intelligent, but it appears that millions of people have tried the application and bought it from it.

Most of the online discussions questioned the legitimacy of the application, with its extremely low price and considerable distribution time reminiscent of the early Wish. To the extent possible, Temu has established direct contacts with Chinese manufacturers and has omitted the middlemen from China to the Amazon warehouse. Without these burdens, a slasher or bathroom mat costing $10-15 on the Amazon could be purchased on Temu for less than $2.
